Welcome to Unitly ("we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application Unitly — Unit Converter ("the App").

We are committed to protecting your privacy and being fully transparent about our practices. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2.1 Information You Provide

Unitly does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information. The App is fully anonymous — we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information directly from you.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the App, certain information may be collected automatically through third-party services:

• Device information (device type, operating system, language settings)
• App usage data (features used, session duration)
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
• IP address (used to determine approximate location for ad targeting)
• Crash reports and performance data

The information collected is used for the following purposes:

• To display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob
• To analyze app performance and fix bugs
• To improve the user experience and add new features
• To comply with legal obligations

4.1 Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data to show personalized ads, including advertising identifiers, approximate location, and device information.

You can opt out of personalized advertising via your device settings:

• iOS:Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Turn off Personalized Ads
• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

4.2 Expo & React Native

The App is built with Expo and React Native. These frameworks may collect anonymous crash and performance data. No personally identifiable information is collected through these frameworks.

Unitly stores your conversion history locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is not transmitted to any server
• Can be deleted at any time via Settings → Clear History

We do not operate any servers that store your personal data.

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us immediately.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymous, aggregated data with Google AdMob for ad serving purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Right to access the data we hold about you
• Right to request deletion of your data
• Right to opt out of personalized advertising
• Right to data portability

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal basis for processing data is legitimate interests (analytics) and consent (personalized advertising). For data processed by Google AdMob, Google acts as an independent data controller under GDPR.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what data is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data processed by third-party services.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
